Spin-out Turns Lab Research Into Sustainable Studio Paint
Chemistry doctoral work becomes a commercial range of low-toxicity artists' colours
A start-up founded by two doctoral researchers has launched a range of artists' paints made without heavy-metal pigments or petrochemical binders, developed from work begun in the university's materials lab.
The company has already partnered with the art school to trial the paints in undergraduate studios, gathering feedback from the people who use them most.
