Procedural nature-documentary generator

Proc Gen Attenborough is a browser-based simulation in which herbivores and carnivores compete for resources within a digital ecosystem. Participants select a season to start the simulation, which produces short stories from the interactions taking place within it. The narrative progresses over time, connecting ecological simulation with computational storytelling. 

Described in Kuhn’s portfolio as a procedural nature-documentary generator, the project uses an artificial environment as the basis for unfolding stories about non-human life. Rather than presenting only a predetermined account, it links narrative development to the behaviour of a simulated system.
