Four-part audiovisual series | 16 minutes 10 seconds | In collaboration with Jonas Pequeno

Ettrick Sites combines 3D animation, generative processes and sound-responsive imagery in a four-part audiovisual series. Imagining an abandoned 1980s horror-film set, the work brings together fragments of cinematic fantasy, cartoons and popular genre imagery within an atmosphere of artificial fog, darkness and theatrical lighting. Characters and environments emerge, transform and disappear, creating a shifting landscape of speculative fiction.

Developed through Gloves to Bouquet, MacKinnon’s collaboration with Jonas Pequeno, the project credits both artists with writing, production and video production. It premiered at the Royal College of Art’s Stage Space in London on 30 January 2025.
