
Ardeshir Abdolrahimi
Ardeshir Abdolrahimi began his creative career in Iran, receiving a Diploma in Mathematics and Physics before switching to the arts and experimenting with cinematic techniques. Ardeshir moved to London to study filmmaking while also exploring street photography.
Since 2012, Ardeshir has continued to explore his passion for filmmaking, building up his cinematic knowledge and technical skills while working on other projects, including: aphasic (recollection) / graiin (abstraction) - (2015), THAT SIDE UP - (2013-2016), U - (2016).
Ardeshir finished his undergraduate studies in film as a writer, director, and cinematographer. His dissertation film, I Have Written It Here For U, is a short experimental/poetic film exploring the theme of solitude and love.
He has gained recognition as a full-time freelance Director of Photography and short film director, as well as an independent educator.
Ardeshir Abdolrahimi co-founded his own film production company, AQUIFER FILM, and in 2020, the production company opened its own film and photography studio facilities, AQUIFER FILM STUDIO, in East London. Throughout his career, Ardeshir has explored the relationship between the human essence and the material world, expressing meaning through this medium of art.
He has written and directed a trilogy of short films about "safeguarding adults" for Middlesex University and Whittington Hospital NHS.
Recently, Ardeshir has been experimenting with virtual production techniques. He directed and did the cinematography for a short demo film of driving car scenes, using virtual production. This experimentation with new technology highlights Ardeshir's passion for innovation and his willingness to explore different possibilities of communication with images and vision.
Ardeshir Abdolrahimi currently works as a part-time technician in filmmaking for the BA Media course at UCL University, where he shares his expertise and knowledge with aspiring filmmakers. Through his teaching role, Ardeshir helps students develop their skills and creativity in the field of filmmaking, inspiring them to pursue their passions and explore new possibilities in the industry.

2. Teaching on BA Media
As a part-time Technician in filmmaking for the BA Media course at UCL University, Ardeshir shares his expertise and knowledge with aspiring filmmakers. Through his teaching role, Ardeshir helps students develop their practical, hands-on skills and creativity in the field of filmmaking based on the industry standard workflow, inspiring them to pursue their passions and explore new possibilities in the industry.

a) “VP-Volume 0”
A short experimental demo film that shows three driving scenes inside the car in three different location around the world, inside a film studio in London, using LED walls and virtual production technics.
b) “Trilogy of Safeguarding Adults”
A series of three narrative short films that explores the issues of some adults in need of help from others.
